Amnesty Greeting Cards Campaign

This happened last month, but I didn't get an opportunity to blog it until now. As well as writing for rights on the 10th December, my lovely colleagues got involved with the Amnesty Greeting Cards Campaign.

I left a selection of cards on a spare desk, with details of the campaign and they chose who to write to.

I'm delighted they got involved and they were pleased to have the opportunity to take part. And we ended up with a satisfyinig pile of cards.

Reply from HM Treasury

Below is the letter I received in response to my letter to the Chancellor.

"Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing on behalf of her Majesty's Government to thank you for your letter of 7 November.

Ministers are always keen to receive feedback from people up and down the country, so it is very good of you to take the time to write and to let them have your views. Please rest assured that the contents of your letter have been registered by the Treasury.

Thank you, once again, for taking the trouble to write to us with your views."
